Lysa Triantafillou is an accomplished leader in the clinical research industry, with more than 20 years leading quality assurance and regulatory compliance groups at the sponsor, CRO, and central IRB levels. Lysa has established clinical quality management systems for CROs and sponsor organizations – including the development and maintenance of procedural documents, oversight of the vendor quality program, responsibility for external and internal audit schedules, and development and delivery of quality metrics and trend analyses.  She has partnered with Clinical Operations Management to implement risk-based monitoring and quality systems that are in line with expectations of ICH E6 (R2).  Lysa led a top independent IRB through the AAHRPP re-accreditation process and served as the Head of the Human Research Protection Program.

Ms. Triantafillou also served as a member of the Legislative Subcommittee to the Consortium of Independent IRBs (CIRB), and in this role, met with US Congressional staffers to assist in the revision of draft legislation impacting human subject protection. Lysa is an effective trainer and public speaker and is regularly invited to speak on topics related to quality assurance, good clinical practice, human subject protection, and SOP development.  Lysa has participated as a speaker at various national and international industry conferences, including the Drug Information Association (DIA), the Association for Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP), and the Society for Quality Assurance (SQA).
